Amazon’s Creators organization is looking for Software Development Engineers who are passionate about building highly scalable, distributed systems. We power the Amazon Associates and Amazon Influencer programs—cornerstones of Amazon’s social commerce ecosystem. our mission is to build a great destination for commerce creators across the world, and their content.
Amazon and Associates Program continue to see strong growth. As part of this team, you’ll design and build systems that enable creators to thrive. You’ll drive innovation in how creators are rewarded, recognized, and integrated across the Amazon experience. We’re launching new products, scaling globally, and solving complex problems using big data, machine learning, and real-time systems.
As a technical leader, you’ll work on systems that process terabytes of data, orchestrate real-time interactions across services, and empower millions of creators worldwide. Key job responsibilities
- You will lead the design and development of scalable systems supporting the Amazon Associates and Influencer programs globally, balancing short and long-term technology investments.
- You will own and evolve core services and data central to Amazon Associates and Influencers experience.
- You will work on projects that require innovative and creative thinking, deep technical problem solving, and mentor other engineers.
- You’ll have ownership, not just responsibility, and you’ll contribute to all aspects of the software lifecycle: design, experimentation, implementation and testing.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
