Convergentz, a division of Hunton Group (https://huntongroup.com/) in Houston, TX, has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician. The Technician will be responsible for fire sprinkler installation and maintenance to ensure that all components are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. You will need to establish and manage healthy customer relationships, have professional and effective communication skills, be proactive in conflict resolution, and be safety-minded.

Responsibilities:
+ Servicing, inspecting, and testing fire sprinkler systems to manufactured specifications.
+ Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting, programming, and repairs of fire sprinkler systems.
+ Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire sprinkler systems and other related systems.
+ Diagnose problems or failures in assigned systems to identify equipment and/or systems repair.
+ Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications using tools such as saws and pipe threaders.
+ Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
+ Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
+ Comprehensive working knowledge of fire sprinkler/suppression codes and standards.
+ Identify code and non-conformance issues.
+ Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material.
Qualifications:
+ Must have RME-1 and Backflow Testing & Repair licenses.
+ NICET Water-Based Systems Level II preferred.
+ Must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
