    Job Description

    The Omni Richmond Hotel is currently an experienced individual to join its Housekeeping Department as a Housekeeping Supervisor. The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to ensure that the cleaning and servicing of guest-rooms, public areas, back of house and landings meet Omni's standards.     PAY RATE: $19.00 per hour

     

    $500 Sign-on Bonus offered!

    Responsibilities

    General responsibilities include, but not limited to...

     

    + Inspecting the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and public areas

    + Assigning special projects as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.

    + Reporting any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.

    + Ensuring that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens; as well the linen carts are neat and well-organized

    + Assisting in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.

    + Ensuring that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked, neat, and cleaned.

    + Ensuring VIP rooms are inspected ASAP.

    + Being knowledgeable about the hotel, facilities and events.

    + Ensuring hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.

    Qualifications

    Basic qualifications include..

     

    + Experience planning, scheduling, and supervising the work of a multi-shift housekeeping staff

    + Previous Housekeeping Supervisor experience in Hospitality prefered; Minimum of 2 years of Housekeeping experience required.

    + Flexible availability including working weekends and holidays

    + Knowledge of safety practices in the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

    + Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

    + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

    + Skilled in use of computers including e-mail, Microsoft Word & Excel.

    + Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, such lifting, bending, walking for extended periods of time
