    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Metairie, LA)


    Description

    Robert Half is partnered with a leading construction company in the greater New Orleans area in search of a dynamic Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, financial statement preparation and reporting, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles

    + Work with accounting team members to support the month-end close and reporting

    + Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes

    + Research and analyze expense variances for company management

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + 3+ years' of professional accounting experience in public accounting, construction or industrial services environments

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting

    + CPA preferred

    + Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
