Description

We are looking for an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join our well-established and highly regarded practice in Morristown, New Jersey. This role focuses on providing legal representation to management in employment litigation, counseling, and traditional labor law matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor law and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

• Defend employers against claims involving discrimination, wrongful termination, and other employment-related disputes.

• Draft, negotiate, and advise on collective bargaining agreements to support clients in labor relations.

• Represent clients in complex litigation and class-action cases in both federal and state courts.

• Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.

• Prepare for and actively participate in trials, including presenting arguments and examining witnesses.

• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

• Handle labor arbitration proceedings and matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) or similar entities.

• Provide strategic counsel to clients on workforce management and employment policies.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive and effective legal strategies for clients.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment law, including litigation and counseling.

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required; NY bar admissions are a plus.

• Proven trial experience with the ability to handle cases independently.

• Strong knowledge of labor law, including collective bargaining and labor arbitration.

• Proficiency in legal tools such as case management and document management software.

• Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to high-quality client service.
