Description We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development, implementation, and optimization of technical systems and solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking and Linux skills, with a focus on troubleshooting, system improvement, and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement technical systems and products to optimize performance and functionality.

• Evaluate engineering designs and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production software issues, ensuring system reliability.

• Develop monitoring tools and solutions to maintain system performance.

• Create and enforce standards and procedures for assessing product quality and release readiness.

• Collaborate with QA and software engineers to maintain continuous delivery processes.

• Automate software deployments using tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible to streamline operations.

• Manage applications in both virtual and cloud infrastructures, including OpenStack.

• Build and maintain version control strategies using GitHub, including branching and tagging.

• Utilize container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to enhance system scalability. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.

• Strong networking skills, including experience with Cisco and Juniper technologies.

• Proficiency in Linux systems and troubleshooting techniques.

• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages for system optimization.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and their integration into development workflows.

• Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.

• Strong understanding of data management and automation processes.
