Job Posting: Accounting Specialist – Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Robert Half is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing manufacturing company located in Plainfield, IN, for a Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire Accounting Specialist position. This fully on-site role presents an exciting opportunity to become a key contributor to the company’s accounting operations. The Accounting Specialist will primarily focus on Accounts Payable (AP) functions while also supporting Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable:
+ Process and record vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Verify invoice details and ensure compliance with company policies.
+ Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
+ Manage payment batches and execute weekly payment runs.
+ Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare AP reporting as needed.
Accounts Receivable:
+ Post and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts.
+ Perform account reconciliations to ensure ledger balances are correct.
+ Monitor and follow up on aged invoices to improve collections.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer payment-related issues promptly.

Requirements
+ Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
+ Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on AP and AR functions.
+ Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent).
+ Key Attributes:
+ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Effective communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
