Description
We are seeking a Compliance Manager for a prominent company in the Novi area.
As a Compliance Manager in the legal department you will:
Your Responsibilities:
+ Create and manage our company's compliance plans and rules.
+ Develop and Implement Compliance Programs: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to the company's specific needs and regulatory landscape.
+ Policy Development and Maintenance: Collaborate with legal counsel and other departments to develop, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
+ Training and Communication: Develop and deliver effective compliance training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Communicate compliance-related information clearly and consistently across the organization.
+ Investigation and Remediation: Manage and conduct internal investigations of alleged compliance violations, working with legal counsel and HR as necessary. Develop and implement appropriate corrective actions and preventative measures.
+ Help write and update our company policies.
+ Keep up with new laws and regulations.
+ Look into any possible compliance issues and help fix them.
+ Write reports on how we're doing with compliance.
+ Work with legal and other teams to make sure we're all on the same page.
+ Help build a culture of doing things ethically.
Requirements
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as law, business administration, finance, or a related discipline. A Juris Doctor (JD) or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
+ Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in manufacturing.
+ Proven ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Proficiency in conducting audits and risk assessments.
+ Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities in compliance-related matters.
