Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney with a strong background in Insurance coverage and Litigation to join our dynamic team in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of expertise in handling complex legal matters, including trials, depositions, and case strategy development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes cases involving general liability, umbrella insurance, and risk retention programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and trial of insurance coverage and defense litigation cases in state and federal courts.

• Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and develop compelling case strategies.

• Draft and argue motions, negotiate settlements, and manage cases from inception to trial.

• Perform thorough legal research to support case strategy and client objectives.

• Represent insurers in matters involving general liability, excess insurance, and risk retention programs.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure effective communication and case management.

• Provide expert advice and guidance on insurance coverage and defense litigation.

• Stay updated on relevant legal developments to maintain excellence in representation.

Requirements • Active admission to the New York Bar; New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.

• Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage and defense.

• Proven trial experience with a track record of success.

• Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and document handling tools.

• Strong teamwork skills and reliability in a collaborative environment.

• Portable book of business is preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to manage cases independently and effectively from start to finish.
