DESCRIPTION:

Supervisor for the 1st shift fabrication department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent

+ Minimum 1-2 years’ background experience in packing house (beef preferred) to learn about the various products that are produced

+ Knowledge of products and their specifications is essential.

+ Communication skills

+ Ability to motivate workers

+ Bilingual important, but not mandatory as long as translators are in line area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Responsible for overseeing a group of employees within a safe and professional setting.

+ Insure proper communication and feedback between their team and upper management.

+ Guiding their team through daily tasks and monitoring their performance to ensure maximum productivity.

+ Responsible for meeting product specifications, quality, yields, and following the production schedule.

+ Work with trainers with onboarding of new hires to make sure they understand their roles.

+ Insure area is properly staffed according to departments crewing standards to meet production needs.

+ Keep up with all weekly meetings, monthly safety meetings, and all yearly trainings required by JBS for their team.

+ Job performance will be measured by the Superintendents and General Foreman bases on KPI’s.

+ Understand and adhere to all company and union regulations in regard to hourly employees.

+ Attend daily supervisor meetings.

+ Responsible for completing all audits, safety/PPE checks, and touch and goes as required by JBS.

+ Directly responsible for discipline procedures with hourly employees on the line. These may range from verbal warnings to terminations.
