• Staff Accountant

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Jacksonville, FL)


    Description

    Mandarin based client is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with 2+ years of experience in supporting accounting operations and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have construction accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across project and operations teams.

     

    + Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger, including accruals, prepaids, and reclasses

    + Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts

    + Process vendor invoices and assist with customer billing

    + Help track payments and follow up on outstanding invoices

    + Assist with compiling financial reports and schedules

    + Assist with month-end and year-end close, including financial statement preparation

    + Maintain organized records, assist with file management, and perform other clerical duties as needed

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    + 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, real estate development, or a related industry

    + Working knowledge of GAAP and job cost accounting

    + Experience with construction ERP/accounting software (e.g.,Sage 100, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, QuickBooks, or Viewpoint)

    + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

    + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
