Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Bookkeeper to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will handle payroll and bookkeeping tasks for a masonry contractor and equipment rental company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in payroll and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees using Sage Software.

• Handle garnishments, child support, and other payroll-related deductions.

• Generate various payroll reports in a timely manner.

• Perform monthly equipment billing and maintain accurate records.

• Manage accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and payroll functions for the rental company.

• Track and update forms related to equipment rentals.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks software.

• Assist with additional accounting or administrative tasks as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping.

• Proficient in QuickBooks and Sage Software.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Ability to work independently and proof your work for accuracy.

• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with paycheck calculations and payroll reporting.

• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
