Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full-Cycle Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for employees and/or contract talent, ensuring compliance with company policies, federal and state regulations, and tax requirements. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Payroll Processing:
+ Administer full-cycle payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll cycles, including data entry, time tracking, and final payroll submission (Source: context: RH Acronym Guide, "Payroll Cycle").
+ Reconcile timecards and hours worked, including standard time and overtime, ensuring compliance with labor laws (Source: context: RH Acronym Guide, "Overtime").
+ Process reimbursements, bonuses, and per diems, as applicable (Source: context: RH Acronym Guide, "Payments").
+ Compliance and Tax Filing:
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws.
+ Collaborate with the Payroll Tax team to address inquiries regarding payroll tax filings, deductions, and adjustments (Source: context: RH Acronym Guide, "Payroll Tax").
+ Financial Reporting:
+ Generate payroll cost reports and summaries for management review (Source: context: RH Acronym Guide, "Payroll Cost").
+ Provide accurate records on paid hours, employee pay rates, and payroll history as needed (Source: context: RH Acronym Guide, "Paid Hours," "Pay Rate," "Payroll History").
+ Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll data and documentation.
+ Employee Support:
+ Address payroll-related inquiries from employees promptly and professionally.
+ Educate employees on payroll procedures, deadlines, and self-service tools.
+ System Management:
+ Maintain payroll systems, adding new hires, processing terminations, and updating employee information as needed.
+ Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll information aligns with HRIS systems and employee benefits.
+ Process Improvement:
+ Continuously review and improve payroll procedures to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.
+ Stay up to date on changes in payroll laws and best practices to mitigate compliance risks.
Requirements
+ Experience:
+ 3–5 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably in a high-volume environment.
+ Education:
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
+ Skills:
+ Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar platforms).
+ Advanced Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting purposes.
+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
+ Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, labor laws, and tax regulations.
