Robert Half is working with a leading organization in the SAAS industry seeking a skilled Temporary Payroll Tax Specialist to support their team. Responsibilities:
+ Handle the preparation, review, and submission of payroll tax filings across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Conduct audits of payroll tax withholdings and payments to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
+ Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll tax laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
+ Assist in registering new state accounts as the company expands into new states.
+ Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate reporting and timely submission of tax documents, such as W-2s and 941s.
+ Support year-end tax preparation and reconciliation processes.
+ Address and resolve payroll tax inquiries from both internal stakeholders and external agencies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience as a Payroll Tax Specialist with strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax regulations.
+ Proficiency in payroll tax compliance, reporting, and account reconciliation.
+ Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms (preferred).
+ Ability to manage and interpret complex tax codes and compliance requirements across regions.
+ Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
+ Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
