Description

We are seeking a highly organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Columbia, Pennsylvania. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a company’s financial operations. As an integral member of our team, you will manage key processes such as payment verification, discrepancy resolution, and data analysis to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounts receivable functions. Key Responsibilities:

+ Credit Card Processing: Manage credit card orders and verify funds before order fulfillment.

+ Credit Limit Monitoring: Review orders exceeding credit limits and ensure compliance by withholding shipments for accounts with overdue balances.

+ Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies reported by customers to maintain accurate account records.

+ Freight Analysis: Oversee weekly freight analysis by verifying freight income and expenses, and collaborating with other departments to resolve inconsistencies.

+ Sales Tax Management: Manage sales tax exemption certificates and process refunds as needed.

+ Special Projects: Contribute to assigned projects, ensuring timely and precise completion.

+ General Support: Perform additional duties as required to support the overall accounts receivable processes.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related finance/accounting role.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

+ Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively.

+ Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

+ Self-motivated and able to work independently within a team-oriented environment
