    Description We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will oversee a variety of HR functions, focusing on benefits administration, leave management, workers' compensation, and employee support. This is a long-term contract position within the non-profit sector, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and voluntary benefits, ensuring accurate enrollment, changes, and terminations.

    • Reconcile benefit payments, process wellness reimbursements, and manage department bill payments, collaborating with the accounting team to ensure timely submissions.

    • Handle employment verifications, loan forgiveness program documentation, and respond to inquiries from external partners.

    • Manage employee leave processes, including providing guidance on available options and ensuring compliance with applicable policies.

    • Oversee workers' compensation claims, guiding employees through the process and coordinating with adjusters on case management.

    • Assist employees with understanding and accessing organizational policies and procedures related to benefits, time off, and other HR matters.

    • Conduct new employee orientation sessions to educate team members on available benefits and organizational policies.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to organize and implement wellness programs.

    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, staying updated on changes that impact HR practices.

    • Input data into HR systems, generate reports, and collaborate with payroll to maintain accurate records of benefit changes. Requirements • Proven experience with benefits administration and leave management in a detail-oriented HR setting.

    • Proficiency in HR software, including ADP Workforce Now, ATS, and Ceridian.

    • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements related to benefits and employment laws.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support employees and collaborate with other departments.

    • Experience with organizing and conducting orientations for new employees.

    • Ability to manage workers' compensation claims and employee wellness programs.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities.

    • Familiarity with CRM systems and auditing processes is a plus. TalentMatch®
