Receptionist / Patient Account Representative Details-Clerical Support Float

Essential Job Duties:

+ Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly attitude.

+ Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route calls appropriately.

+ Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.

+ Schedule and cancel patient appointments, prepare, and maintain medical records.

+ Process transactions and reconcile cash with charges, assist patients with account inquiries and payment arrangements.

+ Provide training to new employees and perform other assigned duties.

+ Will provide coverage to clinics throughout the Union Health System. (Terre Haute locations as well as Clinton, Rockville, Brazil, Clay City, Riley, and Marshall, IL)

Education, Training & Experience

+ Previous medical office/clerical experience preferred.

+ Ability to multitask.

+ Computer knowledge

+ Previous EMR experience preferred.

+ Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

+ Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.
