The Role

As a Financial Crimes Compliance Analyst, you will be focused on monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing alerts for potentially suspicious activities. Your work will directly support our commitment to adhering to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations. You'll also collaborate with team members and departments to ensure the organization's compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

+ Investigate transaction monitoring alerts to identify unusual patterns or suspicious activities.

+ Analyze client transactional behaviors and assess whether they align with expected norms.

+ Conduct due diligence (including Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence) on flagged transactions to confirm their legitimacy.

+ Accurately document investigation findings for senior compliance reviews and regulatory requirements when needed.

+ Work collaboratively with internal teams to gather and verify essential documentation related to financial activities.

+ Stay up to date with AML and CTF regulations, applying industry standards to daily compliance efforts.

+ Participate in regular training programs to sharpen compliance expertise and learn about evolving regulatory trends and best practices.

+ Assist in optimizing transaction monitoring tools and technology in collaboration with the tech team.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, criminal justice, legal studies, or a related field is required.

+ Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, spot inconsistencies, and think critically when investigating alerts.

+ Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness are key qualities for success in this role.

+ Adaptability with Technology: Capability to toggle between various monitoring systems and tools efficiently.

+ Production Environment Readiness: Ability to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and thrive in a results-driven setting.

+ Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills that can convey complex information clearly and concisely.

+ Teamwork and Independence: Confidence both in working solo and as a collaborative team member.
