Description
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a leader in the aircraft leasing industry! In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing general ledger activities and preparing financial statements across multiple subsidiaries. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee full accounting and general ledger processes, including preparing standalone financial statements for multiple subsidiaries on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Manage finance leases and right-of-use assets in alignment with U.S. accounting standards.
• Support statutory audits for assigned entities, including drafting audited financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end tasks, including posting daily cash journals.
• Develop and maintain schedules required for income tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax preparers, banks, and investors to address financial and regulatory requirements.
• Assist internal departments, such as management, cash, contract administration, and tax, with accounting-related needs.
• Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as required.
• Maintain proficiency in using automated systems, including Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Kyriba, and custom databases.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Public accounting experience highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret and comprehend contractual language is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and other automated systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently.
• Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
