Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager or Controller to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work on complex financial processes within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing accounting operations, particularly in the context of government contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and validate the migration of contract data, including project codes, labor distribution, and revenue, into Workday.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance in handling various contract types and their associated financial elements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.

• Monitor and maintain data integrity across systems, including Unanet and Workday.

• Analyze and reconcile contract revenue and expenses to ensure financial accuracy.

• Provide expertise in federal government contract accounting practices and regulations.

• Support the implementation and optimization of accounting software systems for enhanced operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting management, particularly within government contracting environments.

• Proficiency with Workday and Unanet systems is ideal, but not mandatory

• Strong understanding of federal government contract types, billing, and financial processes.

• Expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems and their implementation.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams.
