    Duties: The State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz welcomes applications for the role of Associate Director of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation/Business Manager in the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation.

     

    The duties for this positions include but are not limited to:• Business manager for the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation;• Supervise the Athletics Business Coordinator;• Point person for the department's Title IX guidance;• Serve as department compliance officer;• Facilitate student-athlete academic programing;• Sports supervision for various sports and athletic coordinator;• Help facilitate departmental fundraising activities;• Assist with administrative oversight of event management;• Serve as member of senior staff

     

    As a member of the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation this individual must abide by all NCAA, State University of New York Athletic Conference and University rules as well.

     

    Qualifications: Required:• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years’ experience as a college administration• Have NCAA compliance experience• Demonstrated ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student–athletes, coaches and staff;• Ability to work weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule

     

    Preferred:• Master's degree
