Job Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Supervise & support processing of monthly billings in accordance with contract requirements.
+ Supervise & support a team of 2 or more on processing of new projects, budgets, change orders created by Project Accountants.
+ Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure that financial goals are met.
+ Compile and analyze project data to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights to project stakeholders.
+ Identify and assess risks associated with project execution, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
+ Support project audits and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
+ Maintain project documentation, including reports, contracts, and compliance records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
+ Manage Collections process with project accountants to ensure on-going progress.
+ Support month-end and year-end close activities including the preparation and review of supporting schedules and work papers.
+ Support year-end audits including preparation and analysis of requested documents.
+ Assist in the financial development of nonfinancial employees, including training.
+ Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
+ Support and contribute to the success and mentorship of team members/direct reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Associate’s degree in business administration, finance, project management, or a related field.
+ 3-5 years of experience in project coordination or financial analysis, preferably within a corporate environment.
+ 3-5 years’ experience in Microsoft Applications, ERP software, and other project management tools.
+ 2+ years’ experience supervising 2+ direct reports.
+ 2+ years’ experience within a construction industry.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
+ Proactive problem solver who can navigate challenges and drive continuous improvement.
+ Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, project management, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction, engineering, or related industry
+ 5+ years of experience analyzing complex financial data, identifying discrepancies, and recommending solutions to optimize project financial performance
+ 5+ years of experience using dedicated project management or ERP software
Essential Job Functions:
+ Be able to lift and carry ladders, fire extinguishers, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
+ Be able to lift up to 40lbs.
+ Be able to spend significant time standing and walking.
+ Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
+ Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle.
+ Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
