Honeywell Smart Energy is seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Meter Data Collection software team. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining a mission-critical head-end system used by utilities to provision, monitor, and collect data from Honeywell Gas, Water, and Electric Smart Meters.

You will report directly to our Sr. Software Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Raleigh, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

You will be part of an agile team focused on building and enhancing a web-based user application, including a front-end developed in JavaScript/Sencha, a backend Java REST server, and an Oracle database.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work within an Agile Development environment, taking part in daily standups, sprint planning, epic workshops, task/user story ownership, participating in code reviews via Pull-Requests in GIT, deliver assigned tasks within our development cycle.

• Write, test, integrate, debug and troubleshoot JavaScript and Java software.

• Work closely with a lead developer during the training phase with some peer programming.

• Collaborate with other team members to generate innovative solutions for problems and try different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and Java.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and enjoy working as a part of a team to accomplish goals.

• Capable of managing multiple demands and processes while maintaining flexibility and adaptability.

• Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.

WE VALUE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and SASS.

• Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and Jira.

• Exposure to modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).

• Understanding of API design and implementation.

• Experience working with microservices and containerization technologies.

• Knowledge of Python is a plus.

• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
