We are actively hiring a Water Treatment Engineer to support a one-of-a-kind facility in Edwardsport, IN. This Water Treatment Engineer will conduct assessments of the Water Treatment Facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will evaluate and develop performance metrics for Wastewater and Greywater Treatment processes and manage Water Treatment projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget. There is no other plant of this kind in the world, as the equipment and technology are all state-of-the-art. This is a unique and long-term career opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
+ Conduct assessments of water treatment facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
+ Evaluate and develop performance metrics for wastewater and greywater treatment processes.
+ Create, manage, and execute water treatment projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
+ Interpret data from chemical trials to inform station of process improvements and O&M savings.
+ Develop methods to monitor RO performance and implement recommendations to improve performance.
+ Review and revise capital project plans for recurring projects such as filter media replacements, pump overhauls, and collector well redevelopment.
+ Provide operational support for water treatment facilities, including troubleshooting and optimization.
+ Address gaps in water treatment processes.
Job Requirements
+ Associates or Bachelor's degree in technical field
+ Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Water Treatment
+ Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, including chemical, physical, and biological methods.
+ Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards related to water treatment.
+ Ability to vet suppliers' water treatment solutions and recommend best course of action to operations team
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Ability to work onsite in Edwardsport, IN
Work Environment
This position will be working with one of the largest utilities in the country, and this 618-megawatt IGCC facility is one of the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power plants in the world. It emits less sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates than the plant it replaces – while providing more than 10 times the amount of megawatt-hours. This position works onsite at the IGCC plant and the typical work schedule is five days a week, 40 hours per week, with overtime possible during outages or emergency situations. This plant features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, making it a unique work environment.
Compensation
+ Target compensation is $60/hour to $65/hour, but can be somewhat flexible depending on experience.
+ Paid Holidays include: NYD, MLK, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and 2 additional floating holidays.
+ Paid Time Off at 2 weeks per year.

+ PPE Allowance (Up to $300/yr)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
