    Job Title: Entry Level ChemistJob Description

     

    This position involves working in four main areas of testing, including extracting precious metals and jewels from raw materials through a chemical process, utilizing XRF, atomic absorption, and conducting fire assays.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct chemical processes to extract precious metals and jewels from raw materials.

    + Perform XRF testing procedures.

    + Utilize atomic absorption techniques.

    + Execute fire assay testing.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Chemistry and Laboratory techniques.

    + Experience with atomic absorption and XRF.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree related to Chemistry.

    Work Environment

    The role is set in a small manufacturing facility that was renovated in 2010, equipped with a dedicated lab room. The facility is located in Hempstead, which may not be the most optimal neighborhood.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
