Job Title: Machine Programmer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Programmer to assist in the estimating process, quoting, and purchasing materials. You will interpret customer prints and drawings to convert them into AutoCad 2D and 3D Inventor formats. You will also pursue customer approval of prints before releasing orders to production, create correct tool paths for customer parts, and resolve process, product, equipment, and production issues regarding production prints. This role involves working closely with production control, estimating, customers, and production leads to efficiently produce customer parts.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in the estimating process, quoting, and purchasing materials.
+ Interpret customer prints and drawings to convert them to AutoCad 2D and 3D Inventor formats.
+ Pursue customer approval of prints before releasing an order to production.
+ Create correct tool paths for customer parts.
+ Resolve process, product, equipment, and production issues regarding production prints.
+ Conduct work activity at the direction of the Production Planner.
+ Discuss job priorities and production problems with production leads on occasion.
Essential Skills
+ CNC programming
+ Creating flat layouts and tool paths from customer-supplied prints and computer-generated drawings for production use
+ Mechanical skills
+ SolidWorks proficiency
+ Blueprint reading
+ Machine setup
+ Mastercam
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ AAS in Mechanical Drafting or equivalent in AutoCad 2D/3D Inventor, drafting in a metal manufacturing/assembly plant
+ Knowledge of various production operations in press brake equipment, punch press equipment, strippit, CNC
+ Advanced understanding of blueprint dimensions and mechanical drawings
+ Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
+ Extensive knowledge of operations and production management
+ Ability to interpret financial data to set production goals
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to interact effectively with customers, management, coworkers, and outside engineers
+ Knowledge of fixtures, tools, and gauges to measure tolerances
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.46/hr.
