    Job Description

    As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems. You will design and implement basic modifications to resolve machine problems, dismantle, inspect, and overhaul equipment as required by the preventive maintenance program and production schedules. Additionally, you will document repair and maintenance activities, participate in new equipment design, and train others on job duties. You will also perform daily system checks to verify all quality checks are working properly and maintain organized Secondary Operations storage areas. Continuous skill advancement through seminars and vendor training is required.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems, resolving all problems.

    + Design and implement basic modifications to resolve machine problems.

    + Dismantle, inspect, and overhaul equipment as required by preventive maintenance program and production schedules.

    + Document repair and maintenance activities and quality checks.

    + Participate in new equipment design.

    + Train others on job duties, including outside molders.

    + Perform daily system checks to verify all quality checks are working properly.

    + Perform required housekeeping, keeping all Secondary Operations storage areas organized.

    + Continuously maintain and advance skill level by attending seminars and vendor training, keeping up with current and future automation technologies.

    + Acquire and develop proficiency in machining and fabrication, including proficiency in MIG and TIG welding and operation of drill press, lathe, milling machine, and surface grinder.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of automation and automated equipment.

    + Proficiency in PLC programming and robotics.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Experience with Allen Bradley PLC, electrical, and mechanical maintenance.

    + Ability to troubleshoot electrical and PLC systems.

    + Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and maintenance mechanics.

    + High school education or equivalent.

    + Basic computer operation skills with current software operating systems and programs.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.

     

    - Coverage starts the 1st day of the following month after date of hire.

    10 bonuses per year ($1250 sign on bonus after 6 months, attendance bonus each month for no missed time $200, production every 6/mo $600+, quarter bonus production/housekeeping $250-400

    This is a fully onsite position in Lincolnton,NC.
