Job Title: Controls TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with the Electrical Engineering team to ensure the efficient operation of industrial instrumentation and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heavy industrial equipment and a strong understanding of electrical control systems.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain knowledge of the wastewater treatment industry and familiarize with electrical control manufacturers' products.
+ Utilize electrical software including RSLogix 5000, Modicon, and other PLC, HMI, and VFD configuration software.
+ Work independently with self-motivation.
+ Diagnose, repair, and work with electro-mechanical ancillary equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, actuators, flowmeters, and VFDs.
+ Use diagnostic equipment like vibration analyzer, DMM, and other measuring tools to log performance data and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation.
+ Demonstrate strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and electrical schematics.
+ Experience with automation, programming, controls engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLC, ladder logic, and electrical systems.
+ Must possess good mechanical skills.
+ Valid Driver’s License and an insurable driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1+ years of PLC troubleshooting experience.
+ Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
+ Basic understanding of electrical terminology.
+ High mechanical aptitude.
+ Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic engineering systems.
+ Experience reading specifications for municipal and industrial projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hr.
