Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic Maintenance Team as a Maintenance Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from changing lightbulbs to repairing advanced robotic systems, contributing to the production of high-quality glass products.

Responsibilities

+ Perform reactive and preventative maintenance with a balanced approach.

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on CNC equipment and PLC controlled machinery.

+ Collaborate with a controls group to address pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance activities.

+ Conduct maintenance on presses, furnaces, hydraulic presses, and Fanuc robotics.

+ Set up laptops and perform PLC troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

+ 1-3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.

+ Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.

+ Experience with 480V / 3-phase electrical systems.

+ Solid troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of PLC and CNC systems.

+ Familiarity with conveyors and motors.

+ Experience in welding and CNC maintenance.

+ Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and reach as necessary.

+ Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large glass manufacturing plant exceeding 200,000 square feet. The facility is clean and relatively quiet, with only one area requiring earplugs. The environment is non-climate-controlled, though cooler areas exist with fans and open doors during nice weather. You'll work among robots, ovens, furnaces, and conveyors in a laid-back culture that values autonomy and family-oriented values. The facility has multiple departments including production, maintenance, and quality, among others.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $72800.00/yr.

promote from within (one of the HR managers started on the production floor & now is in HR) & if a position comes available, they will open it up to the internal employees first. Health, Dental, and Vision benefits start from Day 1. They sit between 600 – 650 employees b/w the 4 facilities & they are looking to grow much more over the next couple of years. Each person gets a paycheck weekly. Non union facility.

-$2500 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at 90 days & $2,000 paid at 6 months)

-CGS has been a standalone company for 2 years now; they were recently apart of Guardian Industries
