Job Title: Warehouse Technician
Job Description
As a Warehouse Technician, you will collaborate with your team and assist with various responsibilities related to the Distribution Center functions. You will accurately store inventory, pull inventory according to work orders, box, package, and ship orders, prepare truck manifests, and transport materials from manufacturing to distribution. You will operate a variety of lift and packaging equipment including forklifts, bobtails, and order-picking equipment up to heights of 20 feet, as well as spooling and boxing equipment. Team members are expected to assist in a variety of warehouse functions and proactively help out wherever needed. Attention to detail and the ability to continuously refer to alpha-numeric part numbers are essential.
Responsibilities
+ Store products in appropriate areas using racks and shelves, with approximately 80% of tasks involving forklift use and 20% involving manual stacking of boxes weighing 10 – 110 pounds.
+ Utilize RF scanners to store and track inventory.
+ Pick materials using an order picker for heights up to 20 feet above grade, with a pneumatic hoist available as needed.
+ Pack items, stack materials, and boxes with the help of a pneumatic hoist and lift tables at transition points.
+ Manually place small items into boxes and over-pack into larger cartons.
+ Ship, label, and process shipments in the ERP system, requiring light computer skills. On average, process 20 – 50 shipments per day, with each shipment taking approximately 1 minute to process.
+ Transfer materials from pallets to pay-off equipment using a pneumatic hoist for spooling.
+ Stage finished shipments by forklift, hand-stacking, or using a pneumatic hoist onto pallets.
+ Maintain clear verbal and written communication.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience utilizing some type of ERP system in a warehouse setting.
+ 2+ years of experience utilizing RF scanning equipment.
+ 2+ years of experience driving material handling equipment, including order picker, standup, and sit-down forklifts.
+ Must have and maintain a valid California Driver’s license.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Material handling expertise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Occasional data entry to process shipments, track inventory, and perform basic math to record and track department metrics.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large Distribution Center where you will wear goggles and earplugs on the manufacturing floor. The facility is not insulated, which means it can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The majority of the work is performed independently. The day shift runs from 6am to 3pm, with flexible availability required. Overtime is required four times a year at the end of each quarter but is always available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
