    Press Brake Set-Up Techs Needed in Fridley, MN

     

    $26-30/hr Based on Experience

    Job Description

    The individual in this role will set up and run press brakes within the fabrication department. The machines are primarily Cincinnati, Amanda, and other metal forming machines such as LVD Strippit turrets. The operator will pull up programs, set the machines up, run short runs of 5-100 pieces, tear down the machines, and set up again throughout the day.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and operate press brake machines.

    + Manage short production runs of 5-100 pieces.

    + Tear down and set up machines multiple times a day.

    + Use blueprints to ensure accurate machine operation.

    + Utilize mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments and problem-solving.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5+ years of press brake setup experience.

    + Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for inspection.

    + Strong knowledge of bends and allowances.

This training is part of a 4-year apprenticeship program for those aspiring to become journeyman sheet metal workers. The work schedule is 1st shift: 5:30am-4pm, Monday through Thursday.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
