    Indefinite Contract-to-Permanent Positions Based in Philadelphia, PA

     

    Aerotek Aviation is hiring Aircraft Avionics Technicians for full-time, long-term contract opportunities in Philadelphia, PA with one of the premier aircraft manufacturing companies.

     

    Pay Rate: $30-$43/hr based on experience.

     

    Daily Per Diem: Available for contractors who qualify.

     

    Benefits Package: Blue Cross Blue Shield.

     

    Tools: No tools required.

    Summary of Position:

    + Assembly & Installation: Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.

    + Documentation: Clearly document work performed, control equipment status tags, log critical information during installation, verify parts requests, etc.

    + Technical Reading: Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, written instructions, etc.

    + Tool Usage: Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, complex, specialized aircraft test equipment, etc.

    + Communication: Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with other employees, members of supervision, and others as required in their duties.

    + Shift Work: Perform assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions, also while wearing required safety equipment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.

    + Clearly document work performed, control equipment status tags, log critical information during installation, verify parts requests, etc.

    + Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, written instructions, etc.

    + Perform ad hoc projects as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications for Position:

    + Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.

    + Experience: 3 to 5 years of electrical/avionic aviation production required.

    + Knowledge: Knowledge of rotary or fixed-wing aircraft.

    + Skills: General overall knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
