    Hiring for an Electrical Engineer in Cheshire, CT!

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer who prioritizes safety and adheres to robust engineering processes. The ideal candidate will design electrical panels using CAD software, fabricate prototypes, create test plans, and document systems meticulously. Responsibilities also include performing maintenance and upgrades, creating project plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure all systems are developed with safety as the first priority.

    + Adhere to internal and external electrical codes, NEC regulations, Hazops, DOE’s, SOP’s, etc.

    + Design electrical panels using CAD software to create schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.

    + Fabricate proof of concepts, prototypes, and production-level systems.

    + Create test plans to ensure the highest quality and safety for electrical panels and systems.

    + Document systems (part, assembly, BOMs) following best practices for revision control.

    + Perform maintenance and upgrades for systems installed in the field and document revision changes.

    + Create project plans, designs of experiments (DOE), and revision-controlled documentation.

    + Participate in the established Performance Management Process (PMP).

    + Document results and findings into reports, emails, and databases in an organized and accurate manner.

    + Ensure project plans are executed and completed on-time and within budget.

    + Evaluate and protect Intellectual Property (IP), working with the legal department and engineering teams to write and submit patentable inventions.

    + Manage internal and external research collaborations.

    + Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory Teams to ensure products comply with local and global regulatory agencies (FCC, UL, Intertek).

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development technical roles within US or global companies that develop, manufacture, and support industrial electrical and control systems.

    + Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical.

    + Knowledge of electrical instrumentation including Oscilloscope, DVM, Power analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers.

    + Experience with reliability and environmental testing.

    + Familiarity with electrical standards and codes (NEC, UL, FCC).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Professional Engineer License is a plus.

    + Understanding of international, specifically Canadian, electrical codes is a plus.

    + Experience with robotics is a plus.

    Work Environment

    You will be part of the Systems Engineering Team, which includes over 10 engineers with skills in electrical, mechanical, and software engineering. The team is based in Cheshire, CT, with a total of 45 people on site. This is a stable and growing company that offers above market pay and opportunities for new product development.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
