Job Details About the Workforce Resilience and Prevention Institute Catholic Health is proud to partner with Nassau County to establish the Workforce Resilience and Prevention Institute, a regional initiative designed to strengthen the emotional and psychological well-being of the healthcare workforce across Nassau County. This institute, based within Catholic Health, will serve all healthcare providers in our region—both internal and external partners—by providing innovative, evidence-based programming focused on resiliency, wellness, and post-traumatic growth. In alignment with Catholic Health’s mission and values, the Institute will serve as a Center of Excellence for staff engagement, leadership development, and system-wide learning. It will also lead community education efforts to address the opioid epidemic, including embedding social workers into care settings to improve behavioral health screening and patient outcomes. Position Overview The Program Manager will play a critical leadership and coordination role in the Institute’s launch and day-to-day operations. This individual will work cross-functionally within Catholic Health and alongside external healthcare and community partners to develop, implement, and manage programs that support workforce wellness, mental health, and substance use response initiatives. This role is ideal for a mission-driven, systems-thinking professional with experience in healthcare operations, staff engagement, mental health, or public health programming. Key Responsibilities Institute Coordination Oversee implementation and ongoing development of wellness and resilience programming for the Catholic Health workforce and external providers Support Catholic Health’s integration of post-traumatic growth and trauma-informed care into staff education and engagement strategies Align programming with Catholic Health’s existing wellness and pastoral care initiatives Leadership & Learning Coordinate learning and development opportunities related to stress management, burnout prevention, and workforce mental health Facilitate partnerships across departments such as Mission Integration, Behavioral Health, Primary Care, Emergency Services, and HR Promote Catholic Health as a regional leader in workforce well-being Community & Grant Engagement Serve as liaison between Catholic Health and Nassau County grant stakeholders Ensure timely execution of grant deliverables and data reporting Coordinate efforts to embed social workers in emergency and primary care sites to support patients with substance use disorders Program Metrics & Improvement Track key program outcomes and workforce engagement metrics Develop internal dashboards or reports to support continuous improvement Support marketing and communication strategies to increase staff participation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred, in Public Health, Healthcare Admin, Social Work, Behavioral Health, or related discipline Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project management, ideally in a healthcare or nonprofit setting Experience with public health, wellness, mental health, substance abuse, or trauma-informed care initiatives is highly desirable Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners Knowledge of grant compliance and reporting is a plus Salary Range USD $135,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
