    THE POSITION

    The Department of Conservation & Natural Resources is currently looking to hire an Administrative Assistant 1. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing a diverse range of administrative tasks and services that support the effective operation and management of the Ridley Creek State Park Complex. This complex encompasses Ridley Creek State Park, White Clay Creek Preserve, and Big Elk Creek State Park, each offering unique natural resources and recreational opportunities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that the administrative functions run smoothly, contributing to the overall mission of preserving and enhancing these beautiful natural areas.     DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    This role encompasses a diverse range of administrative responsibilities that are essential for the smooth operation of the park. It involves managing various aspects such as human resources, procurement, budgeting, and employee training, all of which are critical to meeting the park's operational needs. The individual in this position plays a vital role in alleviating the administrative burden on park management by handling numerous details that require attention. With a solid understanding of applicable rules and regulations, the employee is tasked with making informed decisions that impact the park's administrative functions, as well as the experiences of both visitors and staff. This multifaceted position is crucial for ensuring that the park operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to a positive environment for all stakeholders involved.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time employment

    + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

    + Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
