THE POSITION

We are seeking a Social Worker Supervisor to provide programs, counseling, and case management services for hospital patients. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Social Worker Supervisor, you will supervise social work staff who provide services, programs, counselling, and case management services to patients at Clarks Summit State Hospital. Your duties include reviewing and updating job descriptions, completing performance evaluations, and reviewing the written work of your subordinates. As a supervisor, you will oversee workers throughout all social service procedures, including new patient admission, obtaining data, providing therapy, discharge planning, and documentation of all services. You can expect to ensure that subordinates meet quality standards and follow regulatory and hospital standards in the development of individualized treatment plans. Additionally, you will collaborate with supervisory personnel in other disciplines to plan and coordinate treatment programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
+ Travel and overtime as needed
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of experience as a Social Worker 2 or a Forensic Social Worker 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); and a master’s degree in social work or social welfare; or
+ Three years of professional social work experience, including one year in a consultative, administrative, advisory, or lead work capacity; and a master’s degree in social work or social welfare.

Legal Requirements:
+ A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
+ This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
+ Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
