Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Network Security Engineer will be responsible for research, design and implementation of technology, systems and policies for core network and information security in support of business needs. In this role the Engineer will manage Cisco Switching, Check Point UTMs, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASA VPNs, SSL Reverse Proxy, Cloud Web Security, and SSL Decryption. Also will be responsible to support and engineering of the global switching and network and wireless environment for site integrations for a large acquisition. In this role the analyst will support Cisco switching, Cisco routing, Cisco wireless controllers, Cisco wireless APs, and a limited deployment of Cisco Meraki, HP H3C/Aruba switching & wireless.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Support Check Point UTMs, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASA VPNs and Juniper SSL gateways
• Support/Participate/Coordinate large network refresh projects.
• Migrations from old equipment to new equipment.
• Network engineering and support for Network refresh projects in the global switching and wireless environment. In this role the analyst will support Cisco switching, Cisco routing, Cisco wireless controllers, Cisco wireless APs, and a limited deployment of HP switching & wireless, and Meraki.
• Implements standards that have been globally developed.
• Support, troubleshooting and design of Cisco switching, Cisco routing, Cisco wireless controllers, Cisco wireless APs, and a limited deployment of Cisco Meraki, HP H3C/Aruba switching & wireless.
• Determine client/user requirements.
• Assist/create procedural manuals and documents as needed.
• Maintain expertise in assigned area to fulfill position goals and objectives.
• Manage products throughout their lifecycles.
• Participate/run weekly service review meetings with clients/vendors.
• Mentor other team members
• CCSA or CCSE Check Point certifications Nice to have
• Experience configuring, implementing, and/or troubleshooting security devices
• Skills with supporting network technologies LAN Switching/Routing
• Skills supporting routing protocols and network design
• Experience participating in network projects and local area network design.
• Experience using Visio or comparable tool for documenting network design
• Knowledge of 3M’s internal systems
• Ability to manage individuals from different technical and personality backgrounds.
• Ability to manage a global team
• Experience leading network projects and local area network design.
Some other responsibilities may include:
• Building and dashboarding Check Point UTMs - Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Bot, IDS/IPS, Advanced Routing (OSPF), Identity Awareness, and Application Control
• Taking support tickets / troubleshooting UTMs
• Patching UTMs
• Writing scripts to check patching on the UTMs - Currently written in Bash
• Updating - CIRM, DNS, Inventory tracking - Via 3M custom portal, Excel and ITSM (HP Service Manager) requests
• Ensuring proper Radius access to UTMs - Working with the Radius team to troubleshoot, submitting tickets to resolve known issues.
• Working on upgrade and patching procedures to ensure 3M up time
• Writing UTM Policies for large projects and deployments
• Consulting on UTM aspects of network designs - Including working in Visio if needed
• Working on and deploying Global and Local Policies on UTMs
• Experience supporting routing protocols and network design
• Experience participating in network projects and local area network design.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.00/hr.
