Job Summary
The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for the daily operation of the tool room. This individual must possess strong organizational skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to make minor repairs to tools and equipment. This employee must also interact effectively with all parts of the organization.
Work Hours: Friday – Monday, 6am – 5pm
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Responsible for organizing, identifying, marking, and tracking company owned tools.
+ Inventories and places new tools in service.
+ Identifies tools in need of replacement.
+ Properly stores tools following use by technicians.
+ Issues tools and equipment to personnel and maintains records of tool issuance and return.
+ Assures that company tools are controlled and accounted for.
+ Holds personnel accountable for misuse of or damage to tools and equipment.
+ Keeps tools in good condition, makes minor repairs and lubricates tools as needed.
+ Monitors, tracks, coordinates, and schedules maintenance of calibrated tools and equipment.
+ Evaluates tool condition for wear and damage.
+ Responds to broken tool reports and coordinates outside repairs in a timely manner.
+ Completes tool reports and lists as needed.
+ Ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
+ A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the aviation industry is preferred.
+ Previous experience in tool maintenance, service, and repair.
+ Strong computer proficiency.
+ Strong proficiency with MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
+ Working knowledge of Corridor is a plus.
Other Prerequisites
+ Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
+ Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
+ Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
