U-Haul is seeking a hard-working, knowledgeable person for the position of Customer Service Representative. Customer Service representatives work in U-Haul Moving and Storage Center lots to provide outstanding service to customers using their advanced technical expertise .

In addition, we offer a $300 cash bonus , paid upon completion of U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through our 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores.

    Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

    + Provide exceptional customer service and support to U-Haul customers.

    + Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.

    + Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.

    + Provide customer assistance , including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.

    + Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.

    + Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.

    + Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.

    + Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.

    + Install hitches and trailer wiring.

    + Understand and explain U-Haul’s variety of towing packages

    + Recommend and install the right tow package on customer vehicles

    + Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift (training provided).

    + Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.

    + Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.

    + Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.

    + Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.

    + Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University .

    + Other duties as assigned

    Customer Service Representative Minimum Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record

    + Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving

    + Available to work weekends

    Work Environment:

    The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

    Physical Demands:

    The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary , moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
