CTG is seeking to fill an Mechanical Planner III, Nuclear opening for our client in Richland, WA.
**Location:** Richland, WA
**Duration:** 12 months
Duties:
+ Plan and prepare mechanical work packages for both large- and small-scale nuclear projects executed by mechanical and contract maintenance organizations
+ Ensure all work is performed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner compliant with company procedures, policies, and applicable industry codes and standards
+ Develop detailed work instructions and select or recommend procurement of all necessary materials for work package execution
+ Conduct field walkdowns to evaluate maintenance, modification, and surveillance requirements and improve work package quality
+ Interface with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering teams to address and resolve work package issues
+ Define required procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials for each package and coordinate required documentation including OOS’s, RWP’s, plant barrier impairments, fire and welding permits, and quality hold/witness points
+ Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and station procedures including NSPs, NSWPs, ASME codes, and 10CFR50.59 requirements
+ Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to align with industry standards and improve package development
+ Provide project management support and coordination for other planners or contract staff involved in detailed package preparation
+ Actively participate in scheduling meetings, risk reviews, contract requisition reviews, planner peer reviews, and system interface reviews
Skills:
_Required:_
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Proficiency in using computer applications relevant to planning and project management
+ Effective troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
+ Ability to obtain Planner I qualification
+ Working knowledge of nuclear power plant planning and work management processes
+ Familiarity with safety regulations, ALARA principles, and nuclear security requirements

+ Ability to manage priorities and timelines effectively to support plant reliability
+ Strong relationship-building and customer service orientation
+ Business acumen and decision-making insight
+ Goal setting and performance tracking using measurable metrics
+ Technical report writing, trend analysis, and process improvement capabilities
Experience:
_Required:_
+ A minimum of six years of experience in a technical area (maintenance, engineering, operations, or maintenance planning) with:
+ Bachelor’s degree OR
+ Associate’s degree with eight years of relevant experience OR
+ High school diploma or GED with ten years of relevant experience OR
+ High school diploma or GED and technical/apprenticeship training with six years of relevant experience
+ (Educational experience may be credited year-for-year in place of work experience)
_Desired:_
+ At least two years of experience in a nuclear environment is highly desired
Education:
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Additional education from an accredited institution (Associate's, Bachelor's) preferred and may be substituted for experience per the criteria above
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $98,000 to $150,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
