Job Title - Automation Test Architect - Appium
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Architect with expertise in Selenium and Appium to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to design and implement robust test frameworks. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Strategy: Define and implement the automation testing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and project requirements.
- Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts using Selenium and Appium.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of test automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to review test cases for automation feasibility and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for test automation, including coding standards, test data management, and version control.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance existing test automation processes, tools, and frameworks to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Emerging Technologies: Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate emerging automation testing technologies and tools to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Reporting: Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues and improve software quality. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in test automation using Selenium and Appium.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Java and other programming languages used for test automation. Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks, including Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Methodologies: Expertise in Agile (Scrum) methodology and actively involved in each stage of the scrum process.
- Tools: Experience with version control systems (e.g., GIT), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), build tools (e.g., Maven, ANT), and debugging tools (e.g., Charles/Fiddler).
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing test automation teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in test automation tools and methodologies.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in testing across multiple domains, including web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and cloud services.
- Performance Testing: Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
