Power Supply Engineering Services delivers high-impact engineering and technical solutions that ensure the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of PGE’s power generation assets. Our work is critical to maintaining current operations while leading the charge toward a decarbonized energy future. Our multidisciplinary team supports PGE’s generation fleet across key areas including the following:

+ Program management for Dam Safety, Arc Flash, Gas Pipeline and Welding
We are looking for a dynamic Electrical Design Engineering Manager to lead and develop a team of nine skilled electrical engineers supporting PGE’s entire generation fleet. In this pivotal role, you will report to the Director of Power Supply Engineering Services and be responsible for managing both the execution of engineering design work and the oversight of engineers leading less-complex capital projects. You’ll ensure high technical standards, support regulatory compliance (WECC and OSHA), and guide the team in addressing emergent maintenance needs across the fleet.
This is a unique opportunity to lead electrical engineering efforts at a utility that’s actively transforming its generation portfolio. You’ll manage and optimize resources across critical projects while driving compliance with our fleet-wide arc flash program.

Responsibilities
+ **Electrical Design Engineering Management** : Manages a team of electrical design engineering professionals in plant design responsible for planning and implementing the design, procurement, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus such as electric motors, lighting, wiring and power systems/devices, and conductor systems for the generation of electric power; provides technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed; ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved; ensures that operational procedures and working practices are current and fit for the purpose.
+ **Financial Management** : Monitors and manages expenditures, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examines any areas where budgets/expenditures vary from plan; assists with the definition and operation of effective financial controls and decision making.
+ **Resourcing** : Oversees resourcing decisions and planning for team, partners with HR in the definition of jobs, recruitment, evaluation, and selection processes.
+ **Professional Development** : Reviews organizational development needs and training strategies to determine required learning and development outcomes for the team; provides guidance in the creation of development plans; monitors ongoing progress and provides coaching and mentoring and provides feedback; completes annual performance management reviews.
+ Resolves priority conflicts between project, compliance, and emergent requests that compete for resources.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering. ABET-accredited engineering program or program accredited by an equivalent agency preferred.
+ Typically, eight or more years of electrical engineering experience
+ Valid drivers license required
Preferred:
+ Experience directly managing a technical team of at least 8 people.
+ Professional Engineering (PE) License.
+ Electrical engineering experience in a related field, such as power generation, consulting, or industrial manufacturing. An M.S. in electrical engineering will be considered for commensurate experience.

+ Advanced knowledge of initiating electrical improvements and corrective actions for power plants, dams, and wind and solar farms.

PGE supports hybrid flexible work arrangements; and will have a combination of in-the-office and working offsite. This individual must be based within 75 miles of the work location and will be required to work in-the-office at least three days a week. However, these arrangements may change due to business needs or changes in responsibility.

Compensation Range:
$125,790.00 - $233,610.00
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
