Job Summary:
SUNY is partnering with the New York Public Library to provide currently enrolled SUNY students an internship opportunity in New York City to gain skills and hands-on experience this summer.
The internship will run from June through Early August. Intern may be scheduled for up to 35 hours a week based on the operational needs.
Interns will have the opportunity to work in one these departments with the New York Public Library- Communications, Exhibition Education, Adult English Language and Literacy, or Community Outreach and Engagement.

Job Duties:
+ Collaborate effectively as a member of a dynamic team.
+ Engage in various projects and associated activities, including writing, research, planning, and reporting.
+ Provide support to colleagues across different functions within the department.
+ Gain insight into how your department contributes to the library's overall mission and operations.
Job Requirements:
Required Education/Qualifications:
+ Must be a student currently enrolled at a participating SUNY campus
+ Strong communication and organizational skills
+ Motivated self-starter and team player
+ Experience with various computer applications
+ Interest in non-profits is a plus
Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role will be $22.00 an hour. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
