Job Description
The Urbanism + Advisory + Planning group of **AECOM** is actively seeking a **Planning Intern** for employment in the **Washington, DC** office.
_This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025._
The planning intern will serve on multi-disciplinary planning efforts in the DC region’s most treasured places, from national parks to neighborhoods. As part of a highly collaborative team of urban designers, planners, engineers, environmental scientists, and economists, the planner will produce planning documents and facilitate stakeholder engagement efforts to help municipal, federal, and private sector clients advance transformational projects in the region.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Compile data and conduct research in support of planning initiatives.
+ Prepare reports, presentations, graphics, and maps.
+ Collaborate with team and client stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning or in another related field and must have completed at least two years of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
• **Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Pursuing a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
+ Experience producing memorandums and reports.
+ Experience with ArcGIS, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite.
+ Experience researching and evaluating data.
+ Positive outlook and can-do attitude approach to tasks and teamwork.
+ Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams.

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
+ Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $22.01/hour - $30.26/hour.
