DESCRIPTION
Research and provide financial analyses to assess the impact of various corporate projects and transactions. The Analyst will support existing monthly and quarterly processes and will be a resource for investigative and ad-hoc analyses. Financial modeling and critical thinking are key components for the role. Success in this role is determined by leveraging technical skills to transform data into meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
+ Typical duties include extracting, transforming, validating or modeling financial data from various sources with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the financial data for decision making purposes.
+ Creates, maintains, optimizes and supports new and existing complex spreadsheets/databases.
+ Compiles data for month end journal entries and reporting system uploads.
+ Perform month end data analyses and reporting.
+ Provides assistance to departments in the formulation of their budgets and forecasts.
+ Reviews departmental expenses and provides detailed explanations of variances to budget as requested.
+ Constructs and maintains structured operational and financial models as support tools for the Budget and Month end Process.
+ Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed for company departments.
+ Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
+ Bachelor of Science Degree
Work Experience
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 2+ years professional experience desired
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
+ Have expert level abilities in Microsoft Excel
+ Possess strong analytical skills
+ Must be curious, creative, and inquisitive
+ Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills
+ Possesses an owner’s mindset when completing assignments and tasks
