The BAE Systems site in Radford, Virginia is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Analyst. In this role as a Senior Supplier Quality Analyst, you will report to the Quality Manager. A supplier quality analyst (SQA) ensures that products and supplies from vendors and suppliers are high quality, free of damages and defects, and follow government, company, and manufacturing standards.

As the Senior Supplier Quality Analyst, you can anticipate the following duties:

+ Perform internal audits of the Supplier Quality Management System (QMS)

+ Ensure suppliers for the company maintain all regulations and requirements

+ Create and update the supplier database with updated records of performance

+ Create quality control receipt guidelines and protocols

+ Assess products and supplies from vendors to ensure their quality

+ Communicate with vendors when supplies don't meet quality standards

+ Enter status of received items in the computerized system

+ Work with the manufacturing groups in regards to supplied products

+ Create Purchase Descriptions for new items and update existing purchase descriptions to ensure compliance

+ Reach out, collaborate, and nurture relationships with suppliers and vendors

+ Lead other employees involved in assessing supplier quality standards

+ Qualify new suppliers

+ Support travel of up to 25%. Note: Majority of travel is within the US and can be managed as day trips or occasional overnights.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and four years related experience, or an Associate's Degree and six years experience, or the overall equivalent including:

+ Quality auditing

+ Internal Quality Document Review

+ Statistical analysis techniques

+ Root cause failure investigation

+ Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word

+ Able to work with great attention to detail

+ Self driven under limited supervision

+ Excellent communication techniques, verbal and written

+ Able to collaborate and nurture relationships with suppliers and vendors and internal team

+ Must be able to support travel of up to 25%.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Quality Management System (QMS) auditing

+ American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as Quality Engineer or Auditor

+ Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

+ Lean manufacturing experience

+ Problem-solving techniques

+ Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $73778 - $125422

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
