Right now, our Combat Mission Systems team in Sterling Heights is hiring multiple Software Engineers excited about real-time, embedded software development.
The Software Engineer I plans and performs a variety of tasks across the areas of software requirements analysis, software architecture and design, implementation (code and unit test), documentation, hardware-software integration, troubleshooting, problem solving, and software verification testing.

As a Software Engineer I, you will:
+ Create, plan, and perform a variety of software analysis, design, development, code, documentation, integration, test and product assurance tasks
+ Contribute to the development of engineering design models and develops programs to enhance, implement and support project/system functionality for the assigned technical effort
+ Participate in software requirements, design, and code reviews
+ Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, test plans, and test scenarios for all applicable requirements for new software releases in software lab environment and on tactical vehicle
+ Ensure technical outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that all technical, system, performance, and quality requirements are met
+ Perform non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of test and tactical systems
+ Perform complex technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluation of results using specialized equipment and/or by computer programs
+ Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor s degree in STEM field
+ C 11 or later proficiency
+ Git experience
+ Familiarity with Linux
+ Familiarity with Low level I/O type programming concepts
+ Knowledge and experience with Object Oriented Design practices
+ Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
+ Familiarity with Python3
+ Familiarity with at least one RTOS
+ Agile software development familiarity
+ SysML or UML awareness (methodology will be on the job training)
+ MagicDraw experience
+ DevSecOps experience
+ Familiarity with Ethernet based protocols (SSL/TLS, SSH, SFTP)
+ Networking experience\#LI-Hybird #LI-JR1
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $63653 - $108210
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
