CommScope is hiring an Infrastructure System Engineer (SE) for our Colorado (main), Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming region. This role is responsible for directly supporting internal and external customers, providing technical assistance, and being an active member of the sales team to represent the company's solutions!! This role also involves pre- and post-sales support on product information, installations, and quality troubleshooting. This is a remote role, and the candidate must live in Colorado close to a major airport.
How You'll Help Us Connect The World
Work closely with sales and marketing to provide pre-sale and post-sale application engineering support to provide additional value to our customers. This may include traveling to customer facilities with sales and marketing personnel when additional technical expertise is required.
Created and updated solutions presentations for end-user customers and consultants geared toward enhancing sales of CommScope’s product lines through discussions of current systems technologies.
Contribute new material back to the larger technical community for broader use.
Act as liaison between North America/global customers and manufacturing/engineering by forwarding customer technical requests and coordinating communication and follow-up with customers, Technical Managers, and Account Managers on the results of requests.
Interact with Enterprise System Engineers to gather and provide feedback to PLM and product engineering on current market trends and design features that will improve the marketability of the product line.
Work closely with engineering and PLM for the design and development of new products with a particular focus on application support. Develop on-site warranty certification inspection documentation to ensure that CommScope guidelines have been followed during the installation.
Provide training for installation partners and end-users in accordance with installation instructions and guidelines.
Contribute to Enterprise Solutions product literature maintenance by identifying inconsistencies and errors. Support sales and marketing with any media activities. This may include writing articles for publications, assisting with advertising, or preparing technical documentation such as design guides.
Most of the travel will be within Colorado, but some travel may be required in other parts of the region ( New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming).
Required Qualifications for Consideration
+ Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer, or an appropriate field, or equivalent job experience.
+ 5+ years of relevant experience (10 years preferred) with structured cabling, design, and installation.
+ Good understanding of LAN/WAN systems and physical media requirements, including wireless applications.
+ Up to 25% travel in region
+ You must live in Colorado
You Will Excite Us If You Have
+ Hold Current Certification BICSI DCDC, BICSI OSP, FTTH
+ Experience with Data Center functional areas (MDA, HDA, EDA, ZDA, EF) and familiar with data center industry trends
+ Demonstrated experience with local structured cabling standards (e.g. ANSI/TIA 568, ISO 11801, ANSI/TIA-942-A)
Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected base salary range for this position is $84,375.00 to $126,600. With a sales incentive plan, total compensation can range from $ 112,500 - $168,800 or higher.
The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
