Overview

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing systems, processes, and employees that define a scalable distribution network for materials and goods to support business and growth objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Direct all aspects of the distribution operation including picking and packing, shipping and receiving, replenishment, production, returns, inventory control management, and maintenance of facilities

+ Establish, evaluate, and maintain performance standards for all areas of the warehouse that can be measured to ensure accountability and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

+ Provides leadership in cost reduction through continuous process improvements and automation to maintain and enhance margins to sustain profitability

Additional Primary Responsibilities

+ Coordinate with Client Relations and Sales for the successful implementation of new clients

+ Partner with the senior management team to strategically plan for future growth

+ Analyze capacity and capital equipment requirements, client forecasts, business objectives, organizational processes, etc

+ Ensure safety compliance of all team members

+ Develop and execute plans for continual growth and peak seasons

+ Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience

+ Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills

+ Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies

+ Demonstrate clear knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines within their respective industries to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and organizations

+ Proficient with Enterprise Systems such as SAP software and Warehouse Management Systems

Physical Demands

+ Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor)

+ Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping

+ May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs
