    The Katherine Thomas School is a private special education school that services students with language, learning, and sensory motor disabilities and moderate to high functioning autism. KTS is looking to hire a a full-time, 10-month contract teacher to begin with the 2025-2026 school year. Hours are 8:30am - 4:15pm. EOE

    Responsibilities for the teachers include:

    + Develop instruction following the Maryland State Curriculum providing necessary accommodations to meet individual, group, and program needs

    + Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

    + Write and implement IEPs

    + Create a supportive learning environment

    + Create partnerships with parents and the KTS community

     

    Annual salary range of $56k up to $100k, depending on experience and level of education

    Required Experience for the Special Education Math Teacher:

    + Bachelors Degree

    + Maryland Special Education Teaching Certificate Eligibility (REQUIRED)

    + Experience working with children on the spectrum in a school environment preferred

    + Professional attitude and demeanor

    + Must have mastery of the content area
